The DTC Partnership leads the promotion and advancement of Downtown Columbia as a vibrant, economically robust and desirable place for employment, entertainment, living and learning.
The functions of the DTC Partnership include supporting transportation initiatives; initiating and sponsoring cultural arts and sustainability programs; implementing downtown beautification and maintenance projects; and promoting public safety.
DTC Partnership and its members and partners work together to create the events and activities that serve as a magnet to attract current and future residents and businesses to Downtown Columbia.
Howard County Government
From the very beginning of planning for the revitalization of Downtown Columbia, Howard County Government has been the #1 partner and supporter. The vision and energy of county elected officials has driven a public-private project to new heights of excellence. We are grateful for their leadership.
Columbia Association
The Columbia Association manages Columbia’s unique assets – recreation facilities, lakes and open space – and provides programs to serve residents and workers. Its mission is to engage our diverse community, cultivate a unique sense of place and enhance the quality of life in Columbia.
Columbia Downtown Housing Corporation
Innovative solutions to providing a full spectrum of housing in Downtown Columbia has been the goal of the Columbia Downtown Housing Corporation The CDHC has worked in partnership with the Howard County Housing Commission, as well as The Howard Hughes Corporation, to reach their objectives.
Howard County Economic Development
Founder James Rouse famously noted that “making a profit” is one of the four major tenets of Columbia’s evolution. Recruiting businesses to invest in the city is the backbone of its success. The Howard County Economic Development Authority helps businesses start and grow in Downtown.
Merriweather Arts and Culture Center
The Merriweather Arts and Culture Center is a non-profit community organization dedicated to growing arts, culture and community in Merriweather Post Pavilion and throughout Downtown Columbia.
