Downtown Columbia is already distinguished by The Mall in Columbia, a 200-store shopping center anchored by Nordstrom, Macy’s, Lord and Taylor and JCPenney. The 1.4 million- square-foot center has 20 million visitors a year and employs 4,000 people.

The Mall’s retail stores and restaurant choices have expanded to an outside shopping and dining plaza. In addition to the dozens of options in the Food Court, The Mall includes such popular restaurants as Seasons 52, Maggiano’s, The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang’s, The Walrus Oyster and Ale House, Shake Shack and Urban Plates.

Many of the new buildings, both commercial and residential, will have street-level retail stores and eateries. At The Metropolitan Downtown Columbia, the street-level retail offerings include Corner Bakery, Cali Burger and Floyd’s Barber Shop among others.

New at Ten.M and m.flats are Bubbles, Title Boxing, The Halal Guys, Kung Fu Tea and Bonchon Chicken.

As Downtown Columbia develops, retail offerings will expand to provide a one-of-a-kind shopping experience with unique boutiques by local merchants as well as regional and national retailers.
